Horse back rides on the 40 miles of trails are safe, yet as adventurous as you chose to make them. Horses are available for the beginning to the more experienced riders ... or you may bring your own. For the healthy and hardy folk, hiking in the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter add to the wilderness experience.
Grab your canoe from the boathouse and paddle serenely on Wildcat Lake at sunset ... sheltered by the mountains. Or grab your rod and fish for trophy sized trout. Fishing is year-round as winter ice-fishing has become a favorite pastime. Young and old treasure their bragging rights ... "You wouldn't believe the fish I caught!"
The Ranch supports and protects a huge variety of wildlife, including a resident herd of 200 elk, mule deer and many species of small animals and birds. Important from its inception, management of this wildlife is in consultation with the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Take the time to slow down, become a naturalist and observe the wonders of what nature offers.
All of this ... only minutes from the world-renown communities of Aspen and Snowmass.
